ODESSA, Wash. -- Fire crews rushed to put out a fully involved fire at a grain silo near Odessa.

Lincoln County officials said firefighters were called to theOdessa Union Warehouse just before 8:30 p.m. Tuesday. The silo was half-filled with grain.

Authorities said it appeared the fire started at the silo and spread to an attached building and a nearby power pole. There were no immediate reports of power outages or injuries.

As the Odessa Fire Department worked to control the fire, officials evacuated more than 40 nearby homes.

At 9:45 p.m., they believed they had the fire contained and were not concerned about it spreading. The residents were allowed back into their homes.
