Fire crews have contained a big grass fire near Davenport.

It started Thursday afternoon and burned through about 600 acres before firefighters got the upper hand. The flames and high winds knocked out power to Davenport and Harrington, and forced evacuation orders.

Crews lifted those evacuation orders late Thursday night as the winds died down and the temperatures dropped.

As of this morning power was restored and all area roads are back open.
