TERREBONNE, Ore. Authorities say a 14-year-old boy was shot to death while sleeping inside a motor home at a hunting camp in Central Oregon and a 21-year-old Lonepine man was arrested.

Sheriff Rodd Clark of Crook County says Brandon Hornseth was arrested Monday evening and charged with first-degree manslaughter in the death of Justin Butler of Culver. Butler and his family were elk hunting at the family ranch in Terrebonne when gunshots were heard shortly after 3 a.m. Sunday. Those inside in the motor home turned on the lights and discovered the teen had been fatally shot in the head.

Clark says the shots came from a distance and evidence pointed to Hornseth.
