PORTLAND -- Lightning struck a Spokane-bound Alaska Airlines flight Tuesday evening, soon after leaving Portland International Airport.

The turboprop continued to function normally but returned to Portland as a precaution.

The plane's 66 passengers and four crew members got on another plane and left for Spokane about an hour later.
