PORTLAND A woman was arrested Thursday for breaking into an assisted-living facility in July and stealing a wedding ring off a 92-year-old woman s finger, police said.

Theresa Reba Mozell White, 46, of North Portland was arrested after the ring was found at a nearby pawn shop and transaction records identified her, said Sgt. Pete Simpson with Portland police.

Police originally received a report that the suspect broke into the facility s dining hall where she encountered the resident and pulled the ring off her finger against her will, Simpson said.

White was booked in the Multnomah County Jail on robbery and theft charges.
