DES MOINES, Wash.-- Two people were taken to the hospital and a dozen boats were burned in a marina fire in Des Moines Sunday night.

Fire officials say a 28-year-old woman and a man in his 30s were working in the bilge area of a boat when there was an explosion. Both people had burns to their upper bodies and faces. The burns were not considered life-threatening.

Witnesses reported seeing firefighters pull the woman from the water after the fire broke out.

The fire damaged 12 of the 58 boats docked in the J-slip of the marina.
