TIGARD, Ore. TriMet officials were hoping to find the owner of a dog who hopped a ride on a bus in Tigard early Tuesday morning.

The pup got on the 12 line around 5:30 a.m. at SW Pacific Highway and McDonald Street. A rider was able to hang onto the pooch until a TriMet supervisor could arrange to get the animal to Town & Country Animal Hospital on SE 125th and Division.

She appeared to have enjoyed the ride and was very friendly, TriMet spokesperson Roberta Altstadt said.

The dog was believed to be about six years old. No computer ID chip was detected.

Anyone with information should call the Washington County Animal Control at 503-846-7041.
