There is so much to consider when you re expecting a new baby including your health, nutrition, and exercise. You want to give your baby the best start. Here s one more thing to add to the list: oral health. A mom s oral hygiene habits can affect her baby in the womb. Gone are the days when expectant moms steered clear of the dentist during pregnancy. In fact, experts say your dental health is crucial to your developing baby. And once your bundle of joy has arrived it s easy to pass cavity causing germs from parent to baby by kissing on the mouth, sharing food and utensils and cleaning off your infant s dirty pacifier in your own mouth. Who hasn t done that?
