Here is a look at the Seahawks' opponents this season and how they have fared against those teams recently. These are not necessarily in the order these games will be played.

Home Opponents

49ers at Seahawks

Last meeting in Seattle: Seahawks 23, 49ers 17 (NFC Championship Game)

This regular-season game was memorable in 2013 for multiple reasons. The Seahawks frustrated and dominated Colin Kaepernick (0 touchdowns, 3 interceptions) on the way to a 29-3 win; Lightning delayed the game for an hour in the first half; and Richard Sherman got to dance with Sea Gal Jessica on the sidelines following one of those picks. Of course, these teams met again in the NFC Championship in January a game that many people still look at as being the real Super Bowl.

Broncos at Seahawks

Last Meeting: Seahawks 43, Broncos 8 (Feb. 2, 2014 Super Bowl XLVIII)

These teams will meet for the fourth time in just over a year. Besides the Super Bowl blowout, the Seahawks hosted Denver last preseason and will visit the Broncos in Week 1 of this preseason. The Broncos have made several free agent moves to beef up their defense including defensive end DeMarcus Ware, cornerback Aquib Talib and safety T.J. Ward.

Packers at Seahawks

Last meeting: Seahawks 14, Packers 12 (Sept. 24, 2012)

If you believe Green Bay coach Mike McCarthy, it s the fans and media who talk about that controversial 2012 Monday Night Football ending more than the players and coaches. This will be the first regular season matchup since the so-called Fail Mary game which the Seahawks won and brought an end to the replacement referees. Quarterback Aaron Rodgers is as good as they come, but the defense ranked 25th out of 32 teams last season.

Cardinals at Seahawks

Last meeting in Seattle: Cardinals 17, Seahawks 10 (Dec. 22, 2013)

Arizona can boast something that no other team can. They are the only team to go into CenturyLink Field since the end of the 2011 season and come out with a win. The Seahawks could not get on track against a tough and underrated defense in the home matchup in 2013. Carson Palmer threw four interceptions and Seattle won the turnover battle, but the offense could not capitalize. Palmer s lone touchdown pass was a perfect 31-yard throw to Michael Floyd late in the 4th quarter.

Rams at Seahawks

Last meeting in Seattle: Seahawks 27, Rams 9 (Dec. 29, 2013)

Calling this matchup at CenturyLink Field last season chippy is an understatement. The Seahawks got into the Rams heads in the season finale and the Rams ended up with a slew of penalties and one player ejection after making contact with an official. The Seahawks scored on the ground, through the air and on a Malcolm Smith interception return on the way to a 27-9 win.

Cowboys at Seahawks

Last meeting: Seahawks 27, Cowboys 7 (Sept. 16, 2012)

Tony Romo and the Cowboys come to CenturyLink for the second time in three years. The home team has won each of the last six games of this series, including that January 2007 playoff game in which Romo bobbled the snap on what would have been the game-winning field goal. America s Team has missed the playoffs the last four seasons. Romo tied the best touchdown-interception ratio of his career in 2013 (31 TD, 10 INT) while posting a 96.7 quarterback rating. But despite his numbers, the monkey on Romo's back is whether he can lead his team to victory when it matters.

Giants at Seahawks

Last meeting: Seahawks 23, Giants 0 (Dec. 15, 2013)

This has the makings of an ugly game for the Giants again. Last year, the Seahawks went into MetLife Stadium and crushed Big Blue. Eli Manning was picked off five times. Former Seahawks cornerback Walter Thurmond returns to Seattle as part of the Giants secondary.

Raiders at Seahawks

Last meeting: Raiders 33, Seahawks 3 (Oct. 31, 2010)

The team with the moniker Commitment to Excellence has been in a relentless Commitment to Rebuilding for the last decade. The Raiders haven t made the playoffs since they went to Super Bowl XXXVII. They ve had 18 different starting quarterbacks and seven head coaches in the last 12 years. But, they made key additions at running back (Maurice Jones-Drew) and receiver (James Jones) and defense (cornerback Carlos Rogers and pass rushers LaMarr Woodley and Justin Tuck).

Away Games

Seahawks at 49ers

Last meeting in San Francisco: 49ers 19, Seahawks 17 (Dec. 8, 2013)

This will be the Seahawks first visit to the new Levi s Stadium in Santa Clara. The Seahawks had a late lead in last year s Week 14 matchup, but a 51-yard run by Frank Gore late in the 4th quarter set up the game-winning field goal with 26 seconds left. Ironically, it was a similar-looking 40-yard touchdown run by Marshawn Lynch in the NFC Championship Game that helped vault the Seahawks to the Super Bowl.

Seahawks at Eagles

Last meeting: Seahawks 31, Eagles 14 (Dec. 1, 2011)

The Seahawks get their first look at Chip Kelly s high-speed offense, which helped the Eagles get to the playoffs in 2013 as NFC East Champions. Second-year quarterback Nick Foles made a splash with 27 touchdowns and two interceptions while posting a 119.2 quarterback rating. LeSean McCoy is one of the most dangerous running backs in the league, leading the NFL in all-purpose yards (2,146) in 2013.

Seahawks at Chiefs

Last meeting: Chiefs 42, Seahawks 24 (Nov. 28, 2010)

These former division rivals have a new rivalry going: loudest stadium. The 12s broke the Guinness World Record for the loudest outdoor sports stadium then Chiefs fans broke it at Arrowhead Stadium, and then the 12s took it back (137.6 decibels). So, the Seahawks will get a taste of their own medicine in this one. The Chiefs are formidable with head coach Andy Reid, quarterback Alex Smith and running back Jamaal Charles. Had it not been for the Denver Broncos record season, the Chiefs might have won the AFC West in 2013.

Seahawks at Panthers

Last meeting: Seahawks 12, Panthers 7 (Sept. 8, 2013)

The Seahawks get to travel to Charlotte for the third straight year. Seattle won this game in the season-opener last year on Russell Wilson s late touchdown bomb to Jermaine Kearse. The Panthers are coming off an NFC South Championship and were the No. 2 seed in the 2013 playoffs. Cam Newton had a breakout season, but will be without longtime receiver Steve Smith, who is now in Baltimore. The defense is more than solid, ranking second behind Seattle in yards and points allowed last season.

Seahawks at Rams

Last meeting in St. Louis: Seahawks 14, Rams 9 (Oct. 28, 2013)

This was just an ugly game on Monday Night Football last season, which the Seahawks won 14-9. The Seahawks were playing without much of its starting offensive line and Russell Wilson paid the price, being sacked seven times. The Rams were without starting quarterback Sam Bradford, but backup Kellen Clemens got his team to a 4th and Goal on the final play. The Legion of Boom kept them out.

Seahawks at Cardinals

Last meeting in Glendale: Seahawks 34, Cardinals 22 (Oct. 17, 2013)

Working on a short week, the Seahawks handled the Cardinals in Arizona on a Thursday night last season, winning 34-22. Seattle built a 14-0 lead on two of Russell Wilson s three touchdown passes and did not look back. Carson Palmer was a victim of two Legion of Boom interceptions.

Seahawks at Chargers

Last meeting: Seahawks 27, Chargers 20 (Sept. 26, 2010)

The Seahawks have dominated this series in the last decade, winning 11-of 17-contests. They will meet in the preseason before this regular season game. The Chargers had to win their final four games to sneak into the playoffs in 2013 and had a wild card win over the Bengals. Philip Rivers, as usual, had a stellar season with nearly 4,500 yards passing, 32 touchdowns and 11 interceptions. Ryan Mathews had a breakout year rushing with 1,255 yards (4.4 yard avg).

Seahawks at Redskins

Last meeting: Seahawks 24, Redskins 14 (Jan. 6, 2013 NFC Wild Card)

Will RGIII be back to his rookie form? He hasn t been the same since injuring his knee in that NFC Wild Card Game loss to the Seahawks after the 2012 season. The Redskins will have a new coach in Jay Gruden. The Redskins have been very active in free agency, with wide receiver DeSean Jackson and defensive tackle Jason Hatcher as the biggest signings.
