BOISE -- At least seven children and their bus driver are safe after a fire broke-out aboard a small bus just after 10 a.m. Thursday in west Boise.

The children ranged in age from 8 to 15.

Ada County dispatchers say the fire was reported at 10:09 a.m. near Cloverdale and Stillwater roads.

That's where a small bus apparently caught on fire while traveling from a local day camp. The bus driver, Cody Enrico, tells KTVB he noticed smoke and fire near the engine, pulled over, and evacuated the children. No one was hurt.

The bus was destroyed by flames within minutes.

Firefighters responding to the scene quickly extinguished the fire.
