King County Executive Dow Constantine, Seattle Mayor Mike McGinn, City and County Council Members and arena investor Chris Hansen gathered at Rainier Vista Boys & Girls Club for the arena legislation bill signing ceremony on Tuesday.

The city and county councils gave final approval Monday to Hansen's plan for a $490 million arena with $200 million in public financing. Hansen still has to land an NBA and NHL franchises.

Councilmember Joe McDermott said he's truly proud of the legislation, and Council Member Mike O'Brien said we delivered the best deal possible.

Investor Chris Hansen credited Sonicgate for helping to keep interest in an arena going.

Constantine said $800 million in private capital will be invested as part of the project.
