SANDPOINT -- The sentencing of a northern Idaho man convicted of second-degree murder in a fatal campground shooting has been postponed until next month.

A public defender for James Anderson requested the delay in 1st District Court earlier this week, saying information the prosecution wants to present about a 2002 domestic violence charge in Texas is irrelevant to the Idaho case.

The sentencing hearing was rescheduled for Feb. 12.

A Bonner County jury found Anderson guilty of shooting 30-year-old Elvin Holt during a November 2008 altercation at a recreational vehicle campground in the small town of Sagle.
