PORTLAND -- A 5-foot tall, 200-pound statue of a bear was stolen from a Portland yard over the weekend, police said.
The bear was last seen Friday night and was reported missing Saturday near Northwest 102nd Avenue and Cornell Road, according to Sgt. Bob Ray of the Washington County Sheriff's Office.
The owner of the bear told police it has become weathered and has grayed since the picture (left) was taken. He bought it for $1,700.
Police believe it took more than one person to remove the bear from the property. Anyone with information was asked to call the WCSO at (503) 629-0111.
