BOISE --Six people have been taken to the hospital following an accident involving a Greyhound bus.

The accident happened along Interstate 84 around midnight.

Idaho State Police say the pick-up lost control, rolled in the middle of the road and was then hit by the bus.

The driver of the truck, Junior Martinez, 19,was taken by Life Flight to Saint AlphonsusRegional Medical Center in Boisewhere heis in serious condition.

His passenger was treated at the hospital and released. Four passengersfrom the bus were also taken to the hospital by ground ambulance.

There were about 49 people on the bus at the time. They were on their way to Salt Lake City.

One passenger on the bus talked toNewsChannel 7 about how the bus driver was able to keep them rolling during the accident.

The driver kind of tried to maintain us as we were tipping and sliding all over the road. It was kind of rough for a while, then we went into a ditch, said Adam Gande. I thought we were going to tip over but he kept us upright.

Eastbound lanes on I-84were both closedforseveralhours. They have since beenreopened.

The passengers on the buswere transferred on to another bus and sent on their way.

Emergency crews on the scene say the wet roads and temperatures are making for some dangerous driving conditions on theinterstate.
