SEATTLE - The Seattle Humane Society’s new MaxMobile was officially unveiled Friday. The MaxMobile is a bright yellow, 33-foot, custom-built mobile adoption and education center.
“Max” will visit local stores throughout the holiday season loaded with dogs, cats, and even a few rabbits, ready for on-the-spot adoption.
It can carry as many as 20 animals that can be seen through the windows.
The Humane Society is taking the vehicle to busy areas where people can adopt a pet on the spot, and will be deployed to schools to teach about dog safety and used in fundraising drives.
The MaxMobile really makes a difference, both for the animals and for our community," said Board member Kaycee Krysty. "It's getting the animals out so people can see them and adopt them. It reaches out in the community so people can learn more about the humane treatment of animals, and both people and animals will benefit."
