ABERDEEN, Wash. - A man police are calling a "person of interest" in the brutal beating of an Aberdeen man was arrested this week during a south Sound warrant sweep.
The U.S. Marshal's Office headed up the week-long effort in Thurston, Mason, Grays Harbor, Lewis and Pacific counties.
Nearly 100 fugitives were arrested, including a couple potentially involved in high-profile crimes.
One was Roderick Terry Reed III, arrested in Grays Harbor County on an old assault warrant. But he could be in deeper trouble.
U.S. Marshals say he's a person of interest in this week's attack on Marlon Lee. The 41-year-old Aberdeen man was dropped off Tuesday morning at the Grays Harbor Community Hospital.
Police say Lee had been beaten, set on fire and left for dead. Since walking into the hospital, he's been unconscious and in critical condition.
The warrant sweep may have solved a year-and-a-half old case out of Mason County.

Roderick Terry Reed III was arrested in Grays Harbor County on an old assault warrant. U.S. Marshals say he's a person of interest in an attack on a 41-year-old Aberdeen man.
Woodrow Franklin Dillon never showed up for a court date after he was accused of a drunk driving crash that seriously injured someone. Now he's in custody with a new court date.
Police say during their raids they found wanted people who had taken steps to hide and protect themselves. Some had their homes wired with surveillance cameras and in one case a wanted sex offender used a game table to block a secret hiding compartment in his closet.
That's where he was arrested.
While police chase after bad guys every day, they say coordinating efforts between local and federal agencies gives them more time and funding.
