SEATTLE - Two pit bulls were confiscated by Seattle Animal Control after they attacked a man's dogs Sunday morning.
Alex Sharpe was walking his dogs, Charlie and Indigo, Sunday morning.
"I don't have kids, they're my children and I walk them every day," he said.
He says when they came to the corner of Orcas and 39th Avenue South, two unleashed pit bulls approached and attacked.
Charlie got away. Indigo did not.

"I really just tried to separate the bigger dog from my dog, and it was clear that she was getting injured pretty badly," he said.
The larger of the two pit bulls clamped down on Indigo.
Even at 6-foot-4 and 230 pounds, Sharpe could barely pry its jaws apart.
"The physical force of this dog was amazing," he said.
The struggle left Sharpe with a shattered finger and bite marks.
Indigo has a broken leg and 45 stitches in her abdomen.
Both pit bulls are now kenneled and in quarantine. The case is under investigation and the dogs' owner could face charges.

Charlie was not injured, but his owner suffered a shattered finger.
"If the citation is found to have been committed, we would be forwarding the case to the county prosecutor to review for potentially owning a dangerous animal in city limits," said Don Baxter, Enforcement Supervisor at the Seattle Animal Shelter.
For Sharpe, there is relief he and his dogs will recover.
But there is also terrible frustration that it ever happened at all.
"It makes me very angry, and I don't want this to happen to anyone ever. I'd never wish this on anybody," he said.
Adding to Sharpe's frustration, Animal Control confirms one of the pit bulls has a record. It bit another dog last year.
But the pit bull wasn't seized then because the attack didn't involve a person. By law, there was no requirement for quarantine.
The owner of the pit bulls did not want to speak with KING 5 News.
