KIRKLAND, Wash. - Although young, two kittens found in rural King County are already on their second of nine lives after they were tossed from the window of a moving car.
In all, five young cats were thrown from the car window early Tuesday morning. One was killed, two ran away and two are now in the care of Meow Rescue in Kirkland.
Meow Cat Rescue's Shelter Manager Jason Thompson says the kittens are doing well considering what they went through.

Rosa is one of five kittens a witness said was tossed from a car window Tuesday.
“People, sometimes when they don't know what to do with an animal throw them away,” she said.
A witness saw the crime, but was too worried about these kittens to get a license plate for police.
“And that is almost the most upsetting part of the story is that there are two kittens out there and we don't know if they are injured ... in pain... or what,” said Thompson.
