KENT, Wash. – A Kent man narrowly survived a frightening ordeal when a piece of concrete crashed into his truck on Interstate 5 last week.

Tony Clark was southbound on I-5, passing under the Holgate Street Bridge, when the concrete crashed through his windshield.

Police aren't sure where the concrete came from. They say it's possible someone threw it.

The triangular slab is 1 foot long and 6 inches thick.

"The only thing I remember is hearing the concrete slab hit the windshield then my shoulder hurting," Clark said.

The triangular slab of concrete crashed through Clark's windshield while he was headed southbound on I-5.

His truck was damaged, and the concrete crushed his shoulder into 25 pieces. It hit just inches from his head.

"It was the most extreme pain I ever felt," he said. "If I had been changing the channel on the radio station it could have been a different outcome."

Police inspected overpasses and found no crumbling or loose pieces, leading them to a preliminary conclusion that someone threw it at Clark's truck.

Clark says if it was thrown at him, he wants that person arrested before it happens to someone else.

Anyone with information is asked to call the police.
