Bomb threats cancel classes at Lakeside schools

NEAR NINE MILE FALLS, Wash. - Bomb threats forced the cancellation of school Monday at Lakeside High School and Lakeside Middle School near Nine Mile Falls, Wash.
About 12:15 p.m. the schools received a call saying there was a bomb in the school. Shortly after that, the schools received multiple calls of people saying they had heard there were bombs in the schools.

School buses had to pick up kids early from school after bomb threats forced the cancellation of classes at Lakeside High School and Middle School.
School officials and fire crews evacuated both schools as a precaution.
School buses and parents started picking up children at both locations just before 2 p.m.
The high school has 560 students and the middle school has 410 students.
The Nine Mile Falls School District was planning a school evacuation drill for the first week in June.
