Human foot leads police to body found on Aloha trail

BEAVERTON, Ore. -- Washington County sheriffs were investigating a body found on a trail between TV Highway and Farmington Road Tuesday night.
A neighbor in the area reported finding a shoe and human foot just off the paved trail.
Investigators brought in a specially trained canine, which later found the decomposing body about 30 feet from the foot.
Detectives say that animals likely scattered the remains.
They were still investigating cause of death and said the body had been identified but were waiting to release that information until family had been contacted.
A nearby resident found the discovery disturbing.
"I have my little kids who ride bikes on this trail, right here, so it's scary," Noah Wolfe said.
Police hope an autopsy will help establish how and when the person died.
