A Portland woman claims her political opinion got her kicked off a
Southwest Airlines flight.
Lori Heasley was wearing a T-shirt which is a take-off on the movie
"Meet the Fockers," with one critical vowel changed. The shirt includes
pictures of President George W. Bush, Vice President Dick Cheney and
Secretary of State Condolezza Rice.
According to the airline, the shirt made other passengers uncomfortable,
so they asked her to take it off.
Heasley refused.
KING Lori Heasley's shirt that had a word play on "Meet the Fockers" got her kicked off a flight home to Portland, she claims.
"I didn't feel that I should have to change my shirt, because we live in the United States, and it's freedom of speech," Heasley said.
Heasley said Southwest did not give her a refund. To get home, she had to rent a car and drive from Reno, Nev. back home to Portland.
