The driver of the car and a passenger were killed in the crash but police have not yet released any names. No one inside the apartment was injured.

Police said they would have to use a crane to pull out the car, at 7745 SW Matheny, where it was stuck between a retaining wall and a pond.

Witnesses told police the vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed, became airborne, hit the side of the apartment or condo and landed on its top adjacent the building just before 8:30 p.m.

Hall Blvd. was closed in Beaverton between Hart Road and Greenway Blvd. during the crash investigation.
