ALBANY, Ore. - Think you have what it takes to outwit 15 other people for $1 million dollars?
If so you might want to give the show "Survivor" a tryout tape. Video tapes will be recorded on January 26th at the Coastal Farm & Ranch in Albany for people interested in spending weeks on end in the most austere of conditions.
The show sifts through tryout tapes and selects about 800 people for face-to-face interviews.
By April, 48 semifinalists will be chosen for final interviews, and then 16 will be chosen as finalists. Taping of the show will be held from June to mid-August at an undisclosed location.
The premise of "Survivor," if you don't already know, is the stranding of contestants in a remote spot and pitting them against each other for prizes ranging from food to exotic adventures.
"Survivor" first aired in the U.S. in 2000.
