BOISE -- A Boise woman who hit and killed a bicyclist at a Meridian intersection last fall has pleaded guilty to vehicular manslaughter.

Erika Hanson, 44, entered the guilty plea in a Boise courtroom Friday.

She admitted hitting Sarah Howard, 48, of Meridian, with her Hummer at Overland and Eagle roads on October 19, 2007.  Howard died from her injuries.

Hanson will be sentenced on August 21.

In a plea agreement with Ada County prosecutors, Hanson will likely get 10 years of probation, serve one year of house arrest and lose her driving privileges for life.
