Not much is left of two planes that collided Friday evening at the McCall Airport.
When emergency crews arrived, both aircraft were fully engulfed in flames.
The pilot of one of the planes, Bill Keating, 52, of McCall and two of his grandchildren were found dead at the scene of the crash.
The two children who died on the scene were his grandchildren, both boys, ages one and six.
The pilot of the other aircraft, Justin Mooney, 30, of Post Falls and passenger Mark Fuller, 27, or Hayden were seen walking away from the crash scene carrying a child.
The child carried away from the scene is also Keating's grandchild. The child was rescued by the occupants in the other aircraft.
The 2-year-old boy is in critical condition at the Salt Lake City Burn Center. He has third degree burns from his waist down.
The boys' father and aunt are on their way to Salt Lake City now.
Mooney and Fuller have been taken to McCall Memorial Hospital.
The McCall airport is closed while the cause of the accident is under investigation.
The two boys killed in the crash, and the boy now at Salt Lake City Burn Center are all from Caldwell.
Their grandfather, Keating, picked them up in the plane around 6 p.m. yesterday to take them to McCall for a visit.
Keating is the public works director for the City of McCall.
The accident happened after the trip from Caldwell, upon arrival at the McCall airport.
