Herbert Becklund, a spry 91 year old resident of Tacoma, finessed this beautiful 27 pound 8 ounce Chinook, into the net off Westport on Friday the 25th of June. Herbert also netted the $1,000 weekly prize from the Westport Charterboat Association. The early selective Chinook fishery off Westport will close on June 30th and then reopen on July 4th for the regular all species salmon seson.
