This is the big King Salmon of the season so far in the Westport Fishing Derby sponsored by the Westport Charterboat Assn. The fish dressed out at 41 pounds 2 ounces, (about 45 pounds in the round) and was caught on a Charterboat by Mark Swartzell of Sierra Vista Arizona on Tuesday August 17th. The fish won Mark the $500 prize for the big fish of the day and is on the board for the $1000 monthly and $2500 yearly prizes. www.charterwestport.com for more information and a complete list of booking services.
