PORTLAND -- The Timbers announced Monday that they have traded defender Futty Danso to the Montreal Impact and picked up a second-round pick in the 2015 MLS Superdraft.

“I would like to thank Futty for his contributions to the club,” said Caleb Porter, head coach of the Timbers. “He has been a class act and true professional. We wish him the best of luck in Montreal.”

The Gambian had nine starts for the club this year and score one goal. He had been with the Timbers since 2009.
