Riding a wave of success with season ticket sales, the Portland Timbers will open up single-game tickets to the general public on Monday, March 21. Prices start at $8. For three hours, starting at 7pm, tickets will be exclusively sold at the Jeld-Wen Field box office. (Formerly PGE Park) Tickets will be available online via Ticketmaster and over the phone the following morning.
The Timbers also recently announced a series of five-game ticket packages, starting at $22 per seat. The packages are currently available and feature various matchups with higher profile MLS teams. Some of the packages feature international exhibitions that are on the Timbers 2011 MLS schedule. Half-season ticket packages are now sold out.
The Timbers announced earlier this month that 12,000 season ticket packages have been sold. As a result, the team released an additional 500 season tickets for a hard cap of 12,500. Portland will host 17 regular season home matches in its inaugural season with Major League Soccer. The first home game is scheduled for April 14 versus the Chicago Fire.
