Storm point guard Sue Bird was named second-team All-WNBA on Tuesday.
It's the seventh All-WNBA honor for Bird, the fourth time on the second team. Bird, a 10-year veteran, will receive $5,000 and a Tiffany & Co. trophy. She was previously named the 2011 co-sportsmanship award winner and finished fourth in MVP voting.
Bird averaged a career-high 14.7 points and 4.9 assists, playing 20 games without three-time MVP Lauren Jackson, out with a hip injury. Despite leading Seattle to its fourth consecutive 20-win season, Bird was third among guards in All-WNBA team voting, a selection by a national panel of writers and broadcasters.
