You don’t need to be an algebra wizard to figure this one out.

If the Seattle Seahawks (12-2) win this Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals (9-5), they will clinch the NFC West title and home field advantage throughout the playoffs.

A Seahawks win will put them at 13-2 with one game to play. The worst they could finish at that point is 13-3.

Every other team in the NFC already has four losses, so nobody could catch Seattle.

If Seattle loses, they could still wrap up the No. 1 seed if the San Francisco 49ers (10-4) loses to the Atlanta Falcons (4-10) next Monday night.

Another critical game this weekend will be New Orleans (10-4) at Carolina (10-4). If the Saints win, they’ll wrap up the NFC South title and the No. 2 seed in the playoffs. If the Panthers win, they won’t clinch the division, but they would be in the driver’s seat headed into the final week.
