RENTON, Wash - The Seattle Seahawks have signed veteran long snapper Kevin Houser after spending his entire career with the New Orleans Saints.
The team announced Houser's signing on Thursday. The Seahawks report to training camp next week.
Houser was originally a seventh-round pick of the Saints in 2000 and snapped in 144 consecutive games for New Orleans before being released in the offseason.
Earlier this offseason, Seattle signed former Houston long snapper Bryan Pittman to a one-year deal. The Seahawks have been trying to find a permanent snapper for punts and field goals since J.P. Darche left following the 2006 season.
