Two WSU football players face assault charges

PULLMAN, Wash. --- Two students were arrested on charges of 2nd degree assault in connection to the WSU party brawl incident, that happened back in July.

Toso Fehoko,19, and Robert Barber,22, have been arrested on second degree assault charges.

The cases have been passed on to the county for official charges.

Chief of Police, Gary Jenkins, said they have seen positive changes, and less incidents with student athletes over the last several years.

Police said another player, Daniel Axelson, hit another student, but it was considered self-defense. Axelson will not be charged.

Washington State University football coach, Mike Leach, will get to decide if the charged students get to play.

Both players were booked and released on Friday.
