Seattle Mariners great Edgar Martinez will get a restaurant bearing his name as part of the new outfield construction at Safeco Field.
The open air “Edgar’s” restaurant will be located in the left-field corner, the team announced Tuesday.
The team is removing 384 seats in that same area as part of a redesign to move the fences in at the ballpark where home runs go to die.
A lounge and dining area is also being added.
MLB.com reports the restaurant will have a “South of the Border” flavor and will include the mescal liquor, Zac, which Martinez has been marketing the past two years.
