A setback for the Huskies men's basketball team, as it loses big man, Shawn Kemp Junior with a torn patella tendon.  Head coach Lorenzo Romar says he does expect to have Kemp back for conference play.  Kemp confirms he will be back in January and the injury will not require surgery.

Romar was looking forward to Kemp's second year as a Husky, saying he had become our best low post threat in terms of the bigs.  There are several candidates to replace Kemp in the power forward position including Desmond Simmons, Jernard Jarreau and Martin Breunig.
