The Washington Huskies lost to UTEP Monday night in the quarterfinals of the Women’s National Invitation Tournament, 70-63.
Forward Talia Walton led the Huskies with 22 points and eight rebounds. UW got nearly no help off the bench, with no points and eight rebounds from the reserves.
Center Kristine Vitola led UTEP with 21 points and 14 rebounds.
UTEP beat the Dawgs on the boards 50-36.
UW finishes the season 20-14.
UTEP will face South Dakota State Wednesday in the semifinal and Rutgers will take on South Florida.
