College record: 83-19, 2 national championships; NFL record: 49-52 -- This is an unusual addition to the list, simply because he was an NFL head coach with the Jets and Patriots before his successful years at USC. He came back to the NFL two years ago, making history in 2010 when the Seahawks became the first division winner with a losing record to go to the playoffs and win a game. Expectations are high in 2012 with the addition of free agent QB Matt Flynn.
