LOS ANGELES (AP) — Even after suffering through Southern California's Halloween nightmare in Oregon last weekend, coach Pete Carroll doesn't believe the long-dominant Trojans are slipping.

He insists the Pac-10 is catching up to the standard that's been set by USC for most of the decade.

And though that loss to the Ducks left the Trojans facing long odds to maintain their streak of seven consecutive Pac-10 titles, Carroll is confident USC will recover in his favorite month.

USC is 23-0 in November games under Carroll, but the Trojans face their final road test of the season Saturday at Arizona State.

Although USC's hopes of winning the conference title hinge on a total collapse by Oregon, the Trojans aren't out of the race for a BCS bowl bid.
