Budda Baker, the No. 1 high school football recruit in Washington state and one of the top recruits in the country, has announced that he will play for the University of Washington.
Baker made the announcement on KING 5 News on Tuesday.
"I'm just a big family person, family always comes first," he said. "I'll be close to my family and they'll be able to come see me play so it's just a true blessing."
Baker helped the Bellevue High School Wolverines win four straight state titles.
He had committed to Oregon but then changed his mind.
Baker was named Washington state player of the year by both The Seattle Times and The Associated Press, and was selected for the prestigious U.S. Army All-American Bowl.
