Husky and Cougar fans headed to Friday afternoon’s Apple Cup in Pullman may have to leave even earlier than they planned due to snow in the mountains.

It will be dry most of Thursday, but 1 to 2-inches of snow could come down between midnight and 7 a.m. Friday before changing to rain, said KING 5 Meteorologist Rich Marriott.

The Department of transportation says they are ready.

“We've got extra crew coming on with the combination of weather and holiday traffic,” said Kevin Nicholson, WSDOT Snow Supervisor.

Kickoff in Pullman is 12:30 p.m. Marriott said the forecast calls for cloudy with light winds an increasing chance of rain during the game. Temperatures will be in the low to mid-40s.
