SEATTLE (AP) — Mike Boxley came to Seattle University fully accepting the idea that he would play college basketball for a Division II program.
Now the forward is about to begin his senior year for the Redhawks, set to play a full Division I schedule beginning Saturday when Seattle opens its season at Oklahoma State.
It's the debut for new coach Cameron Dollar and the start of a difficult stretch. After playing the Cowboys, Seattle will play at West Coast Conference contender Portland before its Nov. 19 home opener against Fresno State.
Boxley and his teammates say they're looking forward to the challenge of playing a full Division I schedule.
