CORVALLIS, Ore. (AP) — El Sara Greer scored a career-high 25 points to lead Oregon State to a 68-59 win over Cal State Bakersfield at Gill Coliseum on Tuesday night.
Oregon State (5-2) scored the first eight points of the second half to go ahead 44-28. Cal State Bakersfield got no closer than four points from there.
Alyssa Martin added 21 points for the Beavers, playing under first-year coach and Oregon State alum Scott Rueck. Greer also had 11 rebounds and four blocks.
Amber Williams had 17 points and Breana Fields 15 points for Cal State Bakersfield (6-2).
Oregon State took the lead for good at 23-21 on Sage Indendis basket with 4:44 left in the first half.
The Beavers scored the last four points of the half to lead 36-28. Greer, a 6-foot-1 senior forward, tied her previous season-high by halftime with 13 points.
