Ever since Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer sold or planned to sell two billion dollars or so of stock, there's been speculation that he was going to make a run at buying an NBA team. The one everyone pointed to was the Sacramento Kings. Today, it appears the Kings are looking to relocate to possibly Anaheim.
Commissioner David Stern said in today's All-Star weekend news conference that he's no longer being active to trying to keep the Kings in Sacramento. Sounds familiar Sonics fans? Now of course, it's never over until it's over. But this is the first open comment about the Kings looking at Anaheim. The NBA deadline to relocate a franchise for next season is March 1.
