SEATTLE - Seattle Storm guard Katie Gearlds will miss the next four to six weeks after tearing a ligament in her left knee.
The team made the announcement Wednesday night. That leaves the Storm with just nine healthy players.
Gearlds tore the posterior cruciate ligament in the first quarter Tuesday night against Phoenix. She has been one of the first players off Seattle's bench, playing in all 20 games and averaging 4.1 points in 12 minutes per game.
If her recovery goes as planned, Gearlds would return right before the WNBA postseason begins.
