SPOKANE, Wash. -- Byron Wesley, who led Southern California in scoring and rebounding last season, will play his senior season at Gonzaga.
The Spokesman-Review reported Monday that the 6-foot-5 wing is expected to play immediately as he should complete his degree at USC.
Wesley averaged 17.8 points and 6.4 rebounds for USC last season. He equaled his career-high with 31 points against Washington State in March. Wesley made 46.7 percent of his shots, including 33.8 percent of 3-pointers.
Wesley figures to compete for a starting spot at small forward on what is shaping up as a stacked Gonzaga team.
