Seattle’s Obafemi Martins scored the goal of the (young) Major League Soccer season Saturday against San Jose, lofting a shot over goalkeeper Jon Busch in the 8th minute. From just three or four yards off the line, Martins’ shot — taken in stride — had to be absolutely perfect, and he delivered.

Busch could only stand with his hands on his hips and wonder what he did to deserve such a goal. Martins’ early strike made the difference, as the Sounders held out for a 1-0 win at CenturyLink Field.
