The Seattle Seahawks front office continued making moves Friday to put the team in position to defend the Lombardi trophy.

The team announced it signed one-year extensions with fourth-year safety Jeron Johnson and fifth-year offensive lineman Lemuel Jeanpierre.

Both players would have become restricted free agents on March 11.

Jeanpierre started three games in 2013 in the place of injured center Max Unger. He also previously started games at right guard for the Seahawks.

Johnson saw limited action this past season due to a hamstring injury and was placed on the injured reserve in December. But in seven games, Johnson recorded eight tackles on special teams, which tied for fourth on the team. He also returned a blocked punt for a touchdown.
