Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman was named NFC Defensive Player of the Week for Week 15.
Sherman had two interceptions, three passes defensed and two tackles in Seattle’s 23-0 win over the New York Giants Sunday.
It’s the second time this season Sherman has won the award. He was named player of the week following the Week 2 victory over the San Francisco 49ers. He was also named NFC Defensive Player of the Month for September.
Sherman is tied for the NFL lead with six interceptions this season.
Sherman also won the Defensive Player of the Week award once in 2012.
