SEATTLE  -- An attorney for suspended Washington quarterback Cyler Miles tells KING 5 Sports that he won't be charged after being by Seattle Police for an alleged assault near campus during a post-Super Bowl celebration.

According to a Seattle Police report, a man claims two men, later identified as Miles and Stringfellow, stopped him and asked him if he "was a Seahawks fan." The man responded "yes," then said the players attacked him with multiple punches to the head before getting in their car and driving away. The man said the players were wearing Denver Broncos clothing.

Attorney Mike Hunsinger said Monday he was informed that prosecutors did not have enough evidence to charge his client. The Seattle City Attorney's office said Monday no charging decisions have been made and the school says Miles' status with the football program is the same.

Miles and wide receiver Damore'ea Stringfellow were suspended indefinitely by Washington coach Chris Petersen for violating team rules on Feb. 6. The school never confirmed the pair was under criminal investigation and Hunsinger didn't elaborate on the probe.

KING 5 has learned that Damore'ea Stringfellow's attorney has a meeting Tuesday with the King County Prosecutor's office.  The wide receiver will likely find out his fate after that meeting.

Miles was the presumptive starting quarterback for the Huskies heading into next season. He was the backup to Keith Price during the 2013 season and started one game late in the season at Oregon State. Stringfellow was also expected to be a starter going into next season after coming on late in the season. Stringfellow had eight catches for 147 yards and a touchdown at UCLA.

Washington resumes its spring practices on Tuesday.
